Internet Meme

I was blog hopping yesterday when I stumbled upon this word - meme, which I read meh-meh. Of course, I know its a technical term in this world wide web but I didn't have the slightest idea what it is. Naturally, in this age what do we do? Google!

Meme - The term Internet meme (pronounced /ˈmiːm/, rhyming with "cream"[1]) is used to describe a concept that spreads quickly via the Internet.[2] The term is a reference to the concept of memes, although this concept refers to a much broader category of cultural information.

At its most basic, an Internet meme is simply the propagation of a digital file or hyperlink from one person to others using methods available through the Internet (for example, email, blogs, social networking sites, instant messaging, etc). Wikipedia

So now I know! There are alot of technical terms in this world wide web they say, and sometimes it will overwhelm us. But just as easily, you can find the relief within. So, if your still starting in your blogging experience, don't quit yet. I know I won't.
